Flight #3 (Traveling to Thailand)
Oh the sigh of relief as I’m finally able to get up and fully stretch my legs. Getting back into the habit of yoga seems like a great idea right about now.
As I exit the plane my excitement cant help but peek through my cramping body and heavy eyelids. Ive made it all the way to HONG KONG. Quickly i should take a photo in front of this thing that i have no idea what it is, its just the first piece of cultural something I saw as I walked through the airport. I’m heading through a TSA checkpoint yet again this one causing my nerves to spike even more due to the congested and slow moving lines.
My layover is an hour, short and sweet, I just have to make it through this wait and one more flight then I can rest.
My biggest fear traveling to foreign countries for the first time was the language barrier. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to get around without asking or even if I had asked I wouldn’t be able to understand. But oh how I was wrong, every sign, and intercom announcement was translated into English, every flight attendant, TSA agent and individuals traveling throughout Asia spoke English. Then it dawned on me, how far behind America is in language diversity compared to other countries.
My final flight is here, another cramped seat but this time I’m next to a window. 3 hrs more and I’ll be able to catch a full nights sleep and shower.
